Mailbox was light. Just one Elizabeth Bowen. Not the one recommended by one of the blogs but the same author, courtesy of Open Library
Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
Reading this one. A quizzical look at marriage. Three women married men twenty years older than them. The repercussions much later!
The rains have started in earnest now. Love them though they have caused devastation in some parts of the country.
Mystica, I didn't know it rained this late in the year in Sri Lanka. I'm currently reading GRAY MOUNTAIN, the latest offering by John Grisham, and so far it's good.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cover on Friends and Relations! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteEven though it's not one of the blogger recommended books by Elizabeth Bowen, I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteI have Difficult Husbands waiting for me to review. It looks good. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteIt might not be the one recommended but it sure does look good. I hope you love it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your books. Difficult Husbands looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Elizabeth Bowen now, too. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your reads
ReplyDeleteElizabeth Bowen seems to be a blogger fav -- she always shows up in TBRs or current read lists -- and I've got a few of her books on my own TBR. Hope you enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDifficult Husbands is interesting. I know a few women who are married to men considerably older than themselves.
ReplyDeleteENJOY!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy mailbox was empty, but I like it sometimes.
Have a great reading week.
I love the cover on Friends and Relations.

I love the rain too, but, yes, they can be quite devastating at the same time. I am sorry for those in your country impacted.
ReplyDeleteDifficult Husbands sound like it will be an interesting read. My husband and I are three months apart. I imagine a couple with twenty years in between them would have some interesting issues arise--given their different generations.
I hope the rain damage does not spread, stay safe!

ReplyDeleteHope you are keeping warm and dry from the rains.
