This was very average for Gerritsen. I normally like the edge of the seat type of reading found in her mystery murders. This was more mundane.

Victor Holland is being pursued by someone who wants him eliminated as fast as possible. Catherine Weaver just happens to be passing by the scene of his accident and shooting and accidentally knocks him down. She takes him to hospital and thus becomes the association between the two which means that Catherine herself is in danger. Unknown to Catherine she carries the all important film roll which is all the evidence that Victor has that plans are afoot to set forth a deadly virus on the world.

The fact that this virus has got the approval of the highest in the land is the part that had be skeptical but the story goes on and everything ends up nicely after a harrowing round of escape, encounters with ex husbands, friends at University and a bit of romance also thrown in for good measure.

A light read but definitely not upto my usual expectation of Gerritsen.

I've only read one of her books and that's how I felt about it but I know lots of people who love her work.
