A blessed Christmas to all my friends and family.
It has been quiet in this part of Sri Lanka - after many years I am at home for Christmas sans children. Invariably I am in Melbourne for Christmas where it is a bustle and lots of activity. Here it is quiet.
Went for Mass, had a splendid traditional breakfast - a most eclectic mix of kiribath, lunu miris and jaggery. Milk rice, a spicy sambol and palm sugar in English! then followed by breudher (a cake of Dutch ancestry with cheese) followed by Yule Log, Mince Pies and Christmas Cake all washed down with hot tea!!!! My sister in law is an excellent cook who has surpassed all of us and she did us proud.
Dinner is with the family at my Mum's home. Another spread I am sure!
Mystica, Merry Christmas to you and your family!
