Mailbox Monday on tour and being hosted by Burton Book Review. This week no new books but I am trying to catch up on reading.
It's Monday What Are You Reading? hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This week I have a good pile of books which I need to finish.
The first one is very very good. I thought it would be a dry tome of facts and figures but it gives one so much of information. Totally unexpected. Almost done with it.
The next on my list is this one. Unheard of till I picked it up!
Next would be this one with so many recommendations to it!
This post got late as I was buying tangerine plants and banana plants. It took such a long time over what should have been a straight forward transaction.
I'm intrigued by The Lives of the Kings and Queens of England - I'm obsessed with all things Tudor, so I'm quite familiar with them, but would love to read about the others.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

I loved The Secret History --enjoy
ReplyDeleteTangerine and banana plants sound exciting too - fresh fruit from your yard is wonderful. Enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteI read Secret History so long ago and I recommend it so often that I often wonder if it would have the impact on me it did then if I reread it today. I can't wait to see what you think!
ReplyDeleteI love it when non-fiction books end up being so good! Must be so good to eat tangerines right off the plant.
ReplyDeleteThe Secret History is good! Hope you'll enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteAre those plants for your own garden? How nice that you can grow plants like that!
Looks like some good reading is in store for you this week,Mystica. Hope your new plants prove very fruitful.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your "catch up" week!
ReplyDeleteThe book about the kings and queens of England looks like it would be right down my alley.

I grew up with a very productive tangerine tree in our backyard. And we had a banana plant or two as well. Enjoy your fruits this year!
ReplyDeleteI love Antonia Fraser, especially after loving her biographical 'Must You Go?'
ReplyDeleteEnjoy all your new reads!
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week.

The first one totally appeals to my inner history nerd :) I've got a couple on my shelf by Antonia Fraser but not this one.
ReplyDeleteAll three books seem like compelling reads, though I'm intrigued by THE SECRET HISTORY.
ReplyDeleteA catch up week is always a good thing!
ReplyDeleteThe lives of Kings and Queens sounds fascinating! Happy reading!

Tangerine and banana plants? On the scale you seem to buy, a lot of work! This time you will not have to give recipes as with the zucchini!
ReplyDeleteDon't work too hard and glad you have a chance to catch up with the reading!
Blessings,
It's always awesome to have a book surprise that way. I wouldn't have expected it to be that exciting either from the way it looks. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you have some time to catch up on your reading. Enjoy!
