Mailbox Monday is being hosted for June by Dolce Bellezza
The books this week are
The book may seem one track - the life of a talented flautist - one taken off the streets of a village, a boy who doesn't even know he has the talent but reading this one was very absorbing.
Looking for another recommended read (that's coming later as I've put a reserve on) I thought I'd pick another book by the same author.
A story of a father and daughter reunited.
Newly widowed Poppy feels only relief!!
Have had this one on my TBR for ages. Just glad to get to it.
This was another recommendation from Cornflower Books!

After a very long time, I have a host of reading material for me to choose from and its become quite crazy for me trying to decide which book to go for first! Trying to be systematic and failing miserably! somehow I do seem to drift to the ones with gorgeous covers........
Nice Mailbox. I like Lost Luggage and Dancing to the Flute. They look very good.
ReplyDeleteENJOY all your books.
I didn't post a Mailbox Monday this week. I am not home yet. Will be heading home tomorrow from the BEA. I am just checking out everyone's mailboxes. :)
I do have a review of THE TIME BETWEEN by Karen White posted this morning.

Your books all look lovely. What a nice mailbox!
ReplyDeleteGreat stack of books...I love Elinor Lipman's books.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
I had to smile at your girlish pleasure of being so giddy with all your new books that you don't know which one to read first.
ReplyDeleteGreat mailbox! Enjoy all those terrific-looking books!
ReplyDeleteI love having a big stack of books to chose from Mystica.
ReplyDeleteUnlike you however, the covers often turns me off. There is a decidedly lack of taste amongst many editors these days, chosing a cover for its monetary appeal versus its esthetic approach! They all look the same after a while so I concentrate on the inside jacket or chose by the author's name or thanks to fellow readers such as yourself, follow a recommendation.
Off my chest, just a pet peeve of mine! Oops!
Blessings,
I am distracted by pretty covers too. The Family Man grabbed my attention. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing A Rural Affair around quite a bit lately. It just looks like such a fun book. Hope it's one you enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYour books look good. I'm reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Forever in Blue by Ann Brashares.
ReplyDeleteHi Mystica,
ReplyDeleteI really love your varied selection this week. There are several of your authors that I know of, yet have never read any of the the books you highlight, so that's even better news.
I can't just pick one to add to my own reading pile, from this amazing list. I particularly have my eye on 'Death In Summer', 'Alys, Always' and 'Lost Luggage', which all sound very intriguing and unique.
Thanks for sharing this week and I hope that you enjoy all your great reads.
Yvonne
Going by covers and titles, LOST LUGGAGE looks good to me. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI get sidetracked by covers a lot although now that I read mostly on my kindle or iPad that's not as much of an issue. The Rural Man sounds like one I'd like and I love the cover. Happy reading. You sure do have a great selection.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking books in your mailbox!
ReplyDeleteThese all look good, especially the first one. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of any of these but I hope you enjoy them all :)
ReplyDeletehere is my Monday post.
