Mailbox Monday hosted for August by Bermudaonion.
The books this week are just two
Five generations of women and set in a one hundred years in Jerusalem.
Setting off on an adventure at 51 is something not for the faint hearted. I doubt I will ever do anything so bold but I'd like to read about it anyway.
Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
This is an interesting story. You want to alternatively cheer Amber on and sometimes berate her for being so shallow! Almost done with this one.
Mystica, I'm amazed by the variety of books you read. I rarely get off the beaten track.
ReplyDeleteI like the cover of that first book. So nice!
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely - it's lovely to receive a few books, then you can get to them much faster :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like interesting historical titles --enjoy
ReplyDeleteA great lineup! Enjoy!

My Mailbox Monday
Four Mothers sounds like a great book. I will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteFour Mothers reminds me a bit of The Dovekeepers (mostly because I was just discussing it with a friend). Have you read it?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
I like the premise of Four Mothers. Have a great reading week.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Forever Amber yet but it's on my TBR -- I even own the nice chunky paperback but haven't made time for it.
ReplyDeleteForever Amber sounds good. I enjoy a love/ hate relationship with a character if it is handled properly. On occasion, I am annoyed with it, but it is nice when the author can deliver a good conflict.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm Reading...
Point of Departure sounds like a book I'd enjoy! Have suitcase, will travel :)
ReplyDeletePoint of Departure looks really good. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteHi Mystica,
ReplyDeleteAlthough 'Point Of Departure' isn't really my kind of book and it hasn't been receiving very good ratings and reviews, I can admire the determination and initiative behind the brave expedition she undertook. I would never be brave enough to make such a momentous decision, let alone follow through on it!
I am really liking the look and sound of 'Forever Amber', this has real potential for my reading list, so thanks for featuring the story and I hope that you decide to publish a review, so that I can catch your thoughts about it.
Have a great week,
Yvonne
your new books sound good, enjoy.

Lol I love your description of Amber in Forever Amber! Now I definitely have to read it!
ReplyDeleteI like reading about other people's big adventures as well and dreaming about what I would do if I were an adventurous sort of person. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteFour Mothers looks especially good. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteIntriguing!
