MAILBOX MONDAY/IT'S MONDAY! WHAT ARE YOU READING?

After weeks of empty mailboxes this week's one is a nice one

The Perfume Garden

I also have five other books due on Wednesday - all recommendations from the book blogs.

This meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

The book I am currently reading and almost done with is The Paris Wife. Intriguing with history and details of Hemingway's life.

Melbourne is freezing cold (for me) but its a change certainly from Colombo.

  1. Mystica, I'd be interested in reading your review of THE PARIS WIFE, the only book here that I can find some resonance with on account of Hemingway. GONE MISSING looks promising too.

The last I read, the monsoon still hadn't arrived in Sri Lanka, so I think it's going to be a long wait for us up north of the subcontinent, with scorching temps of 36-degree Celsius and above.

  7. Hi Mystica,

You must be really pleased with your great new arrivals this week, they all sound amazing, although 'The Paris Wife' probably isn't one that I would read.

If I had to choose one from your selection, for my own toppling reading pile, it would have to be 'Gone Missing'. For one thing I love a great thriller and for another, we have been getting several programmes showng over here in the UK just lately, discussing various aspects of the Amish community. This has opened wide a whole new way of life, that few of us Brits even knew existed, let alone which we can relate to, so a book which mixes together both fact and fiction about their beliefs and lifestyle, would be well worth reading.

    Have a good week,

    Yvonne
