Nothing new in my mailbox!
BUT I was delighted when I was featured by Stacy in The Novel Life on her post Sunday Serenade!
Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
This has been a very bad week reading wise. I just am not getting anywhere on the books. I am still reading Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel. It was slow going for almost 150 pages but it seems to have picked up for me now (getting to the really heated up part of the story now) and hopefully I will finish this quickly.
With the start of the New Year there have been too many things to do and not enough time to finish all in time!
I haven't gotten much reading done myself.
ReplyDeleteHere is mine
My reading was slow before Christmas but its picked up a bit now, hope you find a little time to finish some reads :)
ReplyDeleteI picked up three new books in the first week of new year—a mystery, a western, and a historical adventure—and, predictably, I am reading one more than the other two. All three books are good and I want to read them at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI only read one book between Christmas and New Year, a short non fiction, which was terrible! Glad to know that Bring Up the Bodies is getting better for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the interview. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSome weeks are better than others for reading. Getting back on track from the holidays, maybe?
ReplyDeleteMine was empty too.
ReplyDeleteNot bad when you think about it. :)

It's a big book you're working through! Maybe with the busy time shorter books would be better?
ReplyDeleteHave a good week!
I think most people have to catch up after the holidays. Enjoy reading!
ReplyDeleteFind out what I'm reading this week!
Yes, some weeks are like that...hope you have a better week! And thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteI was so disappointed in Mantel's Wolf Hall that I have not finished it yet. Then I read that another reviewer of BUTB said to make up for all the anonymous 'He's' that Mantel inserted He, Cromwell, every other sentence which would drive me batty also. I hope you survive it. =)
ReplyDeleteHere is my post!
I think it was a slow week for most people because of the holidays. I hope you get some great reading time in this week!
ReplyDeleteI've kind of been in a reading slump and haven't spent much time reading either. I hope you have more time to read this week and that you enjoy your book.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get much reading done last week, either. That seems to be a common occurrence as I have seen a few people mention that.
ReplyDeleteHope you find more time to read this week!

I've been the same this week and not managed to get all my reading done. Such a busy time of year!
ReplyDeleteBring Up the Bodies is on so many best of lists, I've been tempted to pick it up myself. Glad it's getting to the good part for you.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading!
I got Bring Up the Bodies in the mail a couple of weeks ago, I'm curious to pick it up but sad to hear the pacing may be off. Hopefully you'll enjoy it more this week!
ReplyDeleteIt is a busy time year. I'm sure your reading will pick up soon. Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a busy time, I am hoping things will slow down now
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week!

Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies are on my must-read list for 2013 - I'm sorry you're fibding BUTB a bit of a slog. Hopefully it'll improve soon.
ReplyDeleteSometimes that happens to me - I'll have weeks where I don't do much reading. It happens to all of us. I hope this week is better for you.
ReplyDeleteMystica, my reading has lessened as well! Too much to do, and not enough reading time. Hopefully, things will settle down soon.
