Nothing new came to the house so that is why I am going only with this meme. Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
I am reading the sequel to Elizabeth Chadwick's Shadows and Strongholds.
50 pages in and its very good.
I am almost finished with the
Amelia Edwards book and hope to do the review this week. It certainly gave me an insight into travel in days gone by. Some good points, some not so good! Different certainly. Comprehensively detailed and descriptive.
On a non blogging note, I leave for Melbourne to visit the children. Looking forward to seeing them so very much and visiting my favourite library (the only library!) at Carnegie. Taking my TBR list with me and hope I can read something from this list.
Wonderful looking books Mystica! Enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteI like the cover of the Elizabeth Chadwick book and the story inside looks very promising. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip to Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your trip to Melbourne!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great reading week!

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog.
I really need to start reading Elizabeth Chadwick. I see Sharon Kay Penman endorsed her, I love Penman so I should definitely enjoy Chadwick! Have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVED Shadows, and then raced into Lords of the White Castle. It seemed to be a different tone, but I still enjoyed it very much, as I do all of Chadwick's. She is fantastic at her craft. Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my weekly bookish post.
Have a wonderful trip and enjoy visiting that library!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your visit with your kids! I have not read Chadwick, the cover is very appealing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip to Melbourne and hope you get some reading time.
ReplyDeleteHope Lords of the White Castle is just as good as Shadows and Strongholds. Have a great trip to Melbourne catching up with your kids. How long for this time?
ReplyDeleteenjoy your trip and your new books.
ReplyDeleteA slow week is great from time to time, isn't it? I hope you get a lot of reading done this week.
ReplyDeleteThe cover to Lords of the White Castle is fantastic, I'd probably pick it up on that fact alone!
