A mystery murder set in the 12th century contrasts vividly to present times. No instant communications, no hi tech gadgets just very slow tedious questioning and deduction, that has not changed and then a clever detective can connect the dots. The Undersheriff Bradecote and DS George Cross share the same
meticulous attention to detail and this is what stood out.
Descriptive of the lifestyle of the period, always interesting to see the differences between the haves and the have nots (particularly bad during this period) this was a very good read.
