Mailbox Monday/It's Monday - What are you Reading?

Mailbox Monday is hosted this month by Diary of an Eccentric.

Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

The books received this week are the balance loot from my friend.

V S Naipaul's Magic Seeds - a classic

Described as a class act!

Another best seller!

Shortlisted for the 1999 Booker Prize. Seen this on several blogs this week

Described as a most evocative writer.

The century's most explosively hilarious novel of far-out sexuality.  Looking forward to this one.

Have a good week.

Fine collection of books this Monday and last, Mystica, especially Naipaul, Marquez, Fowles and Vidal. Read them years ago though not all the titles. I do want to read BOMBAY TIME by Thrity Umrigar, though.

Nice group of books this week. I've had Love in the Time of Cholera on my shelf for a few years now and still need to read it.

The Map of Love is a very good book, I read it pre-blogging and really enjoyed it.

I'll be interesting to see what you think of the Naipaul book as I just read A Bend In The River.

Enjoy your books.

My daughter convinced me that she needed her own library card. Please come see what I'm reading.

I have a book by John Fowles around here somewhere I think--The French Lieutenant's Woman? I obviously haven't read it yet. Enjoy your week!

My husband read The Golden Age years ago and just the other day I saw it on a book shelf and wondered if I needed to bring it up and add it to my "need to read soon" books. Still may have to do that!

Hope you have better luck with Love in the Time of Cholera. I just couldn't get into that book, but I think I'm in the minority. Happy reading!
